We should wear the recommend type of PPE which is gloves, goggles and boots .We wear goggles to protect our eyes from wood splits which pops of when cutting wood .We wear boots to prevent any harm that can be caused by failing objects and also we wear gloves to prevent any cuts that may be caused onto our hands whilst cutting or fitting the timber .
6.A Method statement on how to repair a defected door frame area
We wear our PPE on ,then we move to the area were repairing is to be done .Without doing anything we asses our work place of any hazards or any other repairs around perimeter,we then mark out the damaged area of the frame placing 45 degree angle cuts on both ends of the damaged area .We then take cut out the damaged area using a saw ,chisel and hammer once damaged area is removed ,measurements are taken of the gap in between and we cut those same measurements from our wood lining with ends that are 45 degrees .We take our wood lining cut then fix it to the existing wooden frame and we put our screws in order for the wood lining to become attached to the door frame permanently ,once all this is done we pack away our tools then we clear .

Dear Customer
We would like to inform you that we had to repair your door frame because it had splits and
cracks around it.First we had to wear our PPE on then we moved to site and assessed the
damage and repair that was needed. We marked out the damaged area both ends 45 degrees
then we used a saw and chisel to remove the defected area ,we then took the
measurements of the gap left in between then we cut our wood linings to that exact size .We
then fitted our wood lining on the frame and then we screwed it to the frame nicely ,when
job was completed we disposed the defected wood ,packed away our tools then we cleared .
